  • Dr. Megan DeJana, DC

Dr. Megan DeJana was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana. She continues to claim that you can take the girl out of Montana but not the Montana out of the girl. Dr. Megan started her migration west to attend Boise State University. She studied and graduated with a bachelors of science in Human Kinesiology. Dr. Megan had the privilege of interning at the prestigious Idaho Sports Medicine Institute where she discovered that she did not want to pursue a career as an orthopedic surgeon but that she had a love for manual medicine and caring for patients. Chiropractic found her during this time, and after a visit to the campus of Western States Chiropractic College (currently University of Western States) Dr. Megan had found her calling.

Dr. Megan graduated Valedictorian of her class in December, 2005. After the birth of her first child, she discovered a deep passion for caring for pre/post-natal mothers and pediatrics. She started her Diplomate program in Family Wellness through the ICPA, and she has enjoyed serving the Hillsboro community for the past eight years. Dr. Megan opened her practice, Active Wellness Chiropractic, in 2014 and looks forward to caring for the greater Portland, Beaverton and Hillsboro communities.

In her spare time, Dr. Megan enjoys spending time with her husband Adam and their three beautiful children. She is blessed to be called mom by Mia (10), Elyn (8) and Grey (4). The Pacific Northwest is their playground and the family enjoys wakeboarding, skiing, and hiking together. Dr. Megan is an avid runner and enjoys running half marathons and hood to coast. • Dr. Byron Agapay D.C.

Dr. Byron Ethan Agapay was born on the island of Oahu and raised in Ewa Beach, HI. Leaving the comfort of a constant summer, he moved to Oregon in 2012 to attend Western Oregon University where he studied to receive his bachelors of science in Biology and Health. In his coursework, Dr. Byron studied everything from marine ecology to vertebrate and invertebrate anatomy and physiology in some of Oregon’s most beautiful facilities. A back injury acquired in the weight room brought him to see a chiropractor for his first time- it was through this interaction that he found his calling: Manual medicine. Encouraged by supportive family and friends, he enrolled for the program at the University of Western states after visiting their campus in 2016.

Dr. Byron graduated Cum Laude in 2019 and had the privilege of being the graduating commencement speaker. Throughout his clinical experience, Dr. Byron found so much joy in treating all patient types from high-performing athletes to pediatrics. In patient care, Dr. Byron utilizes diversified chiropractic technique and a large variety of soft tissue techniques such as pin and stretch, cupping, rapid percussion massage (Hypervolt), instrument assisted soft tissue modalities, kinesiology taping, and rehab to promote healing and function.

You can find Dr. Byron anywhere there is good food and good people. He enjoys trying new foods, going on new adventures, and meeting new friends. Look for pictures of his three pups around his office: Beckett, Casper, and Carl. They are all senior chihuahuas who have enjoyed their days studying chiropractic with Dr. Byron and being test subjects when he needed to practice massage and pawsitive patient interaction. Dr. Byron plans on enrolling in an animal chiropractic program in the near future so he can treat entire families- human or not!

Dr. Byron is looking forward to sharing health and wellness with you and your family at Active Wellness
